I used to think that people like Aaron Bushnell and Matt Nelson, who set themselves on fire to death in protest against the Israeli genocide against Palestine, were shortsighted and threw away their lives on a single act of protest. @Radical_EgoCom yes, imo suicude is a failure. At the same time it is everybody's own choice. Why yes? Because even if - very unlikely - it did change ppl's opinion, they most likely wouldn't act on it. So the math is = one less active person zero gain.
@Radical_EgoCom this road has been taken many times before. What it does in the extreme is mass murder suicide and always, always turns undecided, slightly doubting ppl against the idea and the caused pain activates counter reaction and active counter movement. So what it does is hurting the ideologie, strengthening the oposition.
