I have a big ask for the fediverse:
I'm looking for a professional voice actor/audiobook narrator who would be willing to chat with me about the industry. It's something I seriously want to pursue but am struggling with self-confidence & where to start. Looking for some guidance, support, maybe a bit of feedback. I know there are tons of websites, and I've been researching. I'd just like to have an honest chat with someone experienced (& not trying to sell me something).

For the love of god can we stop anthropomorphising LLMs. No, ChatGPT did not "come up with an excuse" or "think about its mistakes". Gemini did not "lie about its reasoning" or "struggle to understand basic concepts". Grok didn't "decide to praise Nazis" or "express it's support for genocide".
They're mimics designed cynically to trick you into assigning them a humanity that they'll never have, and giving them false agency allows their designers and creators an innocence they don't deserve.
Making the world worse makes it worse and then it's worse. The way to make the world better is by making it better.
